Every great audition starts with preparation. In this class, students will learn simple physical, vocal, and mental warm-ups that help performers feel focused, energized, and ready to perform. We’ll also explore techniques for managing nerves and building the confidence needed to walk into any audition room feeling prepared and proud.
Audition Secrets: What Directors Want
BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
What are directors really looking for in an audition? This workshop pulls back the curtain on the audition process from the director’s perspective. Students will learn how to make a strong first impression, avoid common audition mistakes, and show their personality and talent in a way that stands out.
Movement & Physical Storytelling
BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
Acting isn’t just about what you say—it’s about how you move. In this class, students will explore how body language, movement, and stage presence help tell a story. Through fun exercises and physical theatre activities, performers will learn how to create stronger, more expressive characters.
Acting the Song – Storytelling Through Music

In musical theatre auditions, it’s not just about singing well—it’s about telling a story. Students will learn how to connect to the lyrics, understand the character behind the song, and make clear acting choices while singing. This class focuses on bringing emotion, intention, and storytelling into every performance.
Audition Monologue Mastery

A great monologue can make a powerful impression. In this workshop, students will learn how to select, prepare, and perform a monologue that highlights their strengths. We’ll focus on character choices, storytelling, and techniques that help performers feel confident delivering a polished audition piece.
Callbacks: Scene Partner Lab
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
Callbacks often involve reading scenes with other actors. In this hands-on class, students will practice working with scene partners, listening and reacting naturally, and adjusting their performance based on direction. The goal is to build strong collaboration skills and confidence during callback auditions.
Building the Perfect Audition Song
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
Choosing the right audition song is an important skill for musical theatre performers. In this workshop, students will learn how to select songs that fit their voice, personality, and casting type. We’ll also explore how to create effective song cuts and build an audition repertoire that works for many different auditions.
Cold Readings, Sides, & Self Tape
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
Sometimes actors must perform material they’ve never seen before. In this class, students will learn how to quickly read and understand audition sides, make strong acting choices on the spot, and perform cold readings with confidence. The workshop will also introduce tips for preparing and recording effective self-tape auditions.
Actor Branding: What’s My Type?
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS
Understanding your strengths as a performer can help you make smarter audition choices. In this class, students will explore casting “types,” personality traits, and character styles that fit them best. This workshop helps performers learn how to present themselves confidently and choose audition material that highlights their unique qualities.

Callbacks: Booking the Role
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILLS

Getting a callback means you’re close! In this workshop, students will learn how to take direction, make quick adjustments, and stand out when competing with other performers. Through exercises and mock callbacks, performers will practice the skills that help turn a callback into a role.
