Where are you located?
Tower Grove Abbey & Stray Dog Theatre are located at 2336 Tennessee Avenue near Tower Grove Park and the World-Famous Botanical Garden.

Can I get something to eat and drink at the theatre?
Yes. The Stray Dog Bakery offers a variety of delicious desserts. The Bark Bar offers soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. We suggest you indulge responsibly.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes. Free Parking is available at Tower Grove Abbey. The parking lot is located immediately north of the Abbey.
Where can I get something to eat?
You are in luck! There are many fine restaurants in the area. Some of our favorites just south on Grand Boulevard include: MoKaBe’s (Cafe Food), Pho Grand (Vietnamese), Basil Thai (Thai), Cafe Natasha (Persian), Cafe Mochi (Japanese/Sushi), and very near Grand Boulevard, for great barbecue, The Shaved Duck on the corner of Virginia and Pestalozzi Street.

Where can I stay near-by if I need lodging?
Check out the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion (www.thefleurdelys.com) one of the best B&B’s in the Mid-West. They are just around the corner and really special.

Can I bring my children to Stray Dog Theatre?
As a courtesy to our patrons, it is our policy not to admit anyone under the age of six. However, since several of our shows are intended for mature audiences, we highly recommend you research the shows online to determine your personal comfort level. All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Is photography or videography permitted at the theater?
The use of cameras and video/sound recorders inside the theatre is strictly prohibited by law. The use of such devices may result in the confiscation of memory cards and video tapes.

What time should I arrive at the theater?
We suggest you arrive approximately 20-30 minutes before curtain as late comers can only be seated at the discretion of theatre management.

What is your late seating policy?
We know you are a fantastic, considerate theater patron and you won’t come late.

I am a fantastic, considerate theater patron but what if I am still running late?
The Main Stage Theatre at Tower Grove Abbey is an intimate 150-seat house. Due to the configuration of our theatre, and to avoid disturbing other patrons, we may have to seat you at an appropriate time during the production. Don’t miss out - give yourself plenty of time to arrive.

What happens if I can’t use my tickets for tonight?
There are no refunds or exchanges on individual ticket sales.

Can you send me my tickets in the mail?
There are no assigned seats at the Abbey. All patrons are seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to this fact, all pre-purchased tickets will be held for you at the box office.

Are there any seats in the theatre that have an obstructed view?
The seats in the Main Stage Theatre are comfortably padded pews that are slightly raked. Therefore there is not a bad seat in the theatre.

What is your standby/wait list policy?
For sold out performances, the box office may start a standby waitlist. To sign up for the waitlist, you must be at the box office in person at least a half hour prior to curtain.

Is the theatre handicap accessible?
Yes, the Main Stage Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know at the time you book your tickets if you will require assistance or a wheelchair location so that we may prepare for your visit.

Help, I don’t know what to wear to the theatre!
Relax! We have no dress code at Stray Dog Theatre. Many of our patrons come after work and are in business attire, while others dress more casually. Of course, shoes and shirts MUST be worn, but otherwise, dress comfortably or dress up if you like.
