The Silver Stage program by Stray Dog Theatre is returning in September 2025, featuring a cast of actors exclusively over the age of 55. Silver Stage hopes to provide the experience of theater to senior citizens, regardless of ability, age, experience, or background, and create a network of mature performers who can become an active and vibrant part of our theater community for years to come.

The residents of the Heartfelt Retirement Community are throwing a surprise birthday bash—but there’s one problem: the guest of honor is late. As they wait, the party guests begin to share stories to pass the time. What unfolds is a tapestry of true-life tales—funny, moving, and unforgettable.

Drawn from the cast’s own lives, these stories explore the ironies of travel, the wisdom of mothers, the lessons our children teach us, the price of independence, the power of forgiveness, and what TV never told you about the justice system. This original production blends theatre and storytelling into a evening of laughter, connection, and reflection.
