John Guare’s dramedy elevates a New York City anecdote into an extraordinary theatrical experience. After an unexpected encounter with a young man introduced as the son of Sidney Poitier, Upper East Side socialite Ouisa Kittredge delights in the notion that it only takes a chain of six people to connect anyone on the planet with anyone else. But what about those who are eternally separated from others because they cannot find the right six people?
